New Blog

I am moving all of the things from the 'old' blog (http://pamspaperhorses.blogspot.com/) to the 'new' blog (http://ohforpaperssake.blogspot.com/). I felt the need for a name change. I will be working on it this week.

Card for Aunt Z

My husband's Aunt Z is not doing very well right now. Below is the card I made for him to write her a little note. The reaction I got upon handing him the card was, "Oh, Wow!" He is easily impressed. That's one of the reasons I love him.
The card shape is a cut file from Lettering Delights (Cards G, number 4) which was cut using Make-the-Cut software and my Gazelle.

The card fits in a #10 (legal sized envelope) which I lined with pink copy paper.

Scrappy Thank You Token

The Scarps are no longer growing into a Scrap Monster, but they are still a huge problem!

I learned how to make this 'Lotion Holder Card' from this video
http://tinyurl.com/82q3s4d
This is such a great find for me because every year at Christmas I give co-workers a purse-sided lotion and lip balm from Melaleuca. (the lotion is the best. It is not greasy and really moisturizes.
I was trying to figure out how to get another small hole to add in the lip balm because I did not have the right size circle punch. I make a dozen of these just for lotion.

You know, sometimes my brain just..doesn't work right. Hmmm, maybe age has something to do with it. Anyway, it finally dawned on me that I could make a Make-the-Cut file for the box portion with the size circles I need for both the lotion and lip balm. Of course, I am done making these for little Thank You Gifts, so I'll get to use my MTC file when I am making Christmas cards and things later this year.

Scrappy Thank You Cards

I decided that I should use up some Scraps before they turn into an Uncontrollable MONSTER!
The brown is the other side of the patterned paper (source unknown), Stampin' Up Night of Navy, Georgia Pacific white card stock, and pink copy paper.

Studio G 'Thank You' stamp and Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler Classic ink.

The cards are 3" x 3". I distressed all of the edges of the card stock and turned down one corner of the patterned card stock.

I cut the envelope from pink copy paper with my Gazelle and Make-the-Cut software. It was downloaded from the Make-the-Cut Gallery (envelope #2 when searching the Gallery for 'envelopes'). I cut a liner for the envelope using the same paper and stamped it with the "Thank You' stamp without adding any more ink. Oops! There is not a photo of just the envelope. Sorry.

New Camera for Halloween

Before my old, old camera bit the dust, my husband and I had looked at cameras and I showed him the Kodak EasyShare Max. After my old, old camera bit the dust, I borrowed a friends camera, which led to my husband sneaking out to buy me the camera I wanted. He told me he was going to drop some things off a Goodwill. I was thinking it was taking him a loooong time. The sweet man came back with the camera that I wanted.

This is a card I made using Creepy Halloween scraps.

I'm hearing voices

The photo and sentiment on the card front are both from Create with TLC http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/. This was a freebie a couple of weeks ago.
I have a friend who I call the 'Purse Girl'. She loves handbags. This is similar to the card (her card had pink instead of blue) I made for her birthday:

Bucket Book

One of my friends has been talking about things to put on a 'Bucket List' for a long time. I think her list must be quite long so I made her a simple 'Bucket Book', which I am sure she will easily fill with her lists.

Cover

Inside cover with Very Important  phone numbers (of course Morgan Freeman's number is made up).

6 double sided pages like this.

Attitude is Everything

My friend Peg's birthday is the first week end in August. This is the card I made for her. Click on the photos for a larger picture.

I'm sorry but I do not remember where the graphic image came from. I gray scaled the image for the inside of the card and the envelope liner.

How Much Does a Smart Ass Weigh?

The digi stamp” Retro Woman Eating On Scale”  from   http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/ . If you sign up for the newsletter (on the left side of the page) you will receive email updates with freebies.

The sentiment is something that has been going around in emails for a long time and I don’t know where it originated. And I do resemble it!!

Happy Father's Day Mr. Fix It!

                                                                   card and envelope

The svg file for this card came from http://myscrapchick.com/ . If you sign up for the news letter (scroll down a little and look on the left side of the page) you will receive a free svg weekly.

I scored the card (from the Mr. fix it side) at 2” and 4 ¾”.
Cards that are for men are hard for me so I made several of these to have on hand.
