New Blog

I am moving all of the things from the 'old' blog (http://pamspaperhorses.blogspot.com/) to the 'new' blog (http://ohforpaperssake.blogspot.com/). I felt the need for a name change. I will be working on it this week.

Card for Aunt Z

My husband's Aunt Z is not doing very well right now. Below is the card I made for him to write her a little note. The reaction I got upon handing him the card was, "Oh, Wow!" He is easily impressed. That's one of the reasons I love him.
The card shape is a cut file from Lettering Delights (Cards G, number 4) which was cut using Make-the-Cut software and my Gazelle.

The card fits in a #10 (legal sized envelope) which I lined with pink copy paper.

Scrappy Thank You Token

The Scarps are no longer growing into a Scrap Monster, but they are still a huge problem!

I learned how to make this 'Lotion Holder Card' from this video
http://tinyurl.com/82q3s4d
This is such a great find for me because every year at Christmas I give co-workers a purse-sided lotion and lip balm from Melaleuca. (the lotion is the best. It is not greasy and really moisturizes.
I was trying to figure out how to get another small hole to add in the lip balm because I did not have the right size circle punch. I make a dozen of these just for lotion.

You know, sometimes my brain just..doesn't work right. Hmmm, maybe age has something to do with it. Anyway, it finally dawned on me that I could make a Make-the-Cut file for the box portion with the size circles I need for both the lotion and lip balm. Of course, I am done making these for little Thank You Gifts, so I'll get to use my MTC file when I am making Christmas cards and things later this year.
